Dundee has one of the most beautiful locations of any UK city, on the banks of the river Tay. Further information on surrounding countryside and visitor attractions can be found at the Visit Scotland and Angus and Dundee websites.
Conference dinner will be in nearby St Andrews, at the 5-Star Fairmont Hotel. St Andrews has been the Home of Golf for some 600 years, and with the third-oldest university in the English speaking world, founded in 1413.
Civic Reception on board the Royal Research Ship Discovery, whose famous 1901 expedition to the Antarctic, under Captain Scott, produced ground-breaking scientific work.
Evening visit planned to Verdant Works (a museum commemorating the jute heritage of Dundee).
Potential to visit The James Hutton Institute or the University of Dundee Botanic Garden immediately after the conference.
